Concurrently, Jeevan (Jeevan Kumar), a self-centered neighborhood thug with ambitions for politics, develops traction while his brother Naidu (Tharun Bhascker) is freed from a 20-year jail sentence. The story revolves around the meeting point of these two very different universes.
Keedaa Cola Movie Review:
Keeda Cola is a crime comedy that explores the peculiarities hidden inside the everyday, taking viewers on an incredible journey. With this oddball cult movie, director Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam—who is known for his artistic talent in movies like Pelli Chupulu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi—tries something new.
The dialogue and situational humor in the movie have Tharun Bhascker’s trademark style, albeit with a stronger sense of absurdity. The characters are almost ridiculous, which makes for an interesting watch. The ensemble cast, which includes Rag Mayur as Lancham, Tharun Bhascker as Naidu, Jeevan Kumar as Jeevan, Vishnu Oi as Sikander, Ravindra Vijay as the cola company’s CEO, and Raghu Ram as Shots, all flawlessly play their parts. Chaitanya Madadi plays Vaasthu. All of the characters have.
The two hours that the picture has on screen are filled with action, with little opportunity for breaks. The way in which Tarun Bhascker plays Naidu is captivating, and the presence of Brahmanandam lends an air of well-honed grace to the proceedings. With his depiction of Sikander, Vishnu Oi creates a memorable impression. He offers moments of real humor, whether in the forest with Surrender – Surendar or during regular English-speaking misadventures. To an otherwise all-boys trip, the addition and integration of Barbee, a patient simulator, is a brilliant touch.
The film’s production design by Ashish Teja Pulala, photography by AJ Aaron, and fusion music by Vivek Sagar all significantly improve the entire cinematic experience.
Even though some scenes may seem overly strange to viewers, accepting the film’s quirky tone is essential to enjoying its unique charm. The first half feels a little predictable, and the second half picks up steam from the dramatic action. However, the rapid pace occasionally leads to a bit rushed plot.
Notwithstanding its flaws, Tharun Bhascker’s peculiar and hilarious writing, bolstered by excellent performances and masterful audio-visual production, is what makes Keeda Cola work so well. This movie provides an engrossing excursion into the world of eccentricity and humor for those prepared to accept its quirks.
